Check out my Saturday (5-10-25) Monmouth Park Race 9 analysis below.

MTH 9 (Long Branch, 1 mile 70 yards) – Post Time 4:49 PM ET
Primary – #7 KENTUCKY OUTLAW, #8 Pascaline
Secondary – #4 Baby Dukes, #3 Lordship

Horse Comments:

#7 Kentucky Outlaw (3-1) was the favorite in his Parx sprint debut and he romped by 7 3/4 lengths, and the show finisher was a next-out winner. He was 40 cents on the dollar in a dirt route at that same venue second time out and he made the lead and won by 5 3/4 lengths. He drilled a half-mile bullet (April 5) for the Tesio and figured to impact the pace, but he had early trouble and was not able to work out his preferred trip. He split a 10-horse field in a better than appears effort in the Tesio. He adds blinkers and his new rider Paco Lopez is 22% with early runners. This is how this race should play out. Baby Dukes and Kentucky Outlaw go forward. The former has inside position, so Lopez can park right on the flank of that one if need be, and hopefully he gets first run and wins.

#8 Pascaline (5-2) improved his speed ratings in all three starts. He rallied to win his sprint bow, and stalked and scored in the Laurel Futurity (off the turf) at one mile second time out (runner-up next-out winner). He returned from a layoff and stalked and finished third by a length in the Bay Shore at seven panels April 19. He was firing Fair Hill bullets prior to his last, and drilled another half-mile bullet May 3. Victor Carrasco is 2-for-2 with him and an outside stalking trip is expected.

#4 Baby Dukes (6-1) is 3-for-8 overall. He won both non-stakes starts and is 1-for-6 with three show finishes in stakes races. He should impact the pace.

#3 Lordship (4-1) is cross-entered in the G3 Peter Pan. He was the favorite in his dirt route bow at TAM March 22 and he got pace help and rallied for the win. Chad Brown’s Gun Runner colt retains the services of Samy Camacho and he is 6-for-13 with this outfit. There was not much behind him in his debut and this is a good test for him.
