#2 Prancingthruparis (3-1) turns back and returns to dirt in her second start after a layoff. She won a local dirt sprint last year and captured two turf races in 2025 including the Irish O’Brien in March. Juan Hernandez is her new rider and he is a profitable 38% sprint pilot.
#1 Fayette Fox (4-1) tackled stakes company in her last pair and was beaten 6 1/4 lengths and 23 lengths. She stalked and scored at this distance in an OC-50k/1x affair in March. Kent Desormeaux got to know her last time and he used to win races with Vladimir Cerin.
#3 Grand Slam Smile (5-2) is now trained by Sean McCarthy and this is her first start since November 2024. The 5-time CA-bred stakes winner always finishes in the top three (11 6-4-1). She adds lasix and figures to stalk the pace.
#4 Lovin’ On the Run (6-1) exits a local OC-40/1x win at this distance. She ran well in her last three starts and must be respected in her current form.
#7 Sakura Blossom (4-1) turns back and switches surfaces. She is 0-for-10 on turf and 3-for-5 with a show finish on dirt. She graduated in a 6f sprint at SA. Her other two wins were at 7f and one mile (Arizona Oaks). Armando Ayuso stays put and has guided this one home before, and he is a profitable 31% with Leonard Powell recently. She worked a half-mile bullet for this on June 15.
