Check out my Monday (9-22-25) Finger Lakes Race 7 analysis below.
FL 7 (Lady Finger, NY-bred 2yo fillies, 5.5f dirt) – Post Time 3:54 PM ET
Primary – #4 MARGARITA MOLLY, #5 Oh
Secondary – #2 Oriole Way, #8 Mobelladream
Horse Comments:
#4 Margarita Molly (4-1) had an uncomfortable start as a 17-1 longshot in her Saratoga bow and she recovered quickly, set a pressured pace, and was best of the rest in third. She drilled a Fair Hill bullet for this on Sept. 16 and her new rider Reylu Gutierrez is 35% at Finger Lakes.
#5 Oh (3-1) was 8-1 in her Saratoga dirt sprint debut on Aug. 28 and she stumbled at the start, chased the pace, opened up, and prevailed by a half-length. Mike Maker’s filly should be forwardly placed under her new rider Ricardo Santana, Jr.
#2 Oriole Way (5-2) dueled and graduated by a length and a half at 14-1 odds in her 5f debut at Monmouth. Last time, she chased the pace and was second best behind romping winner Iron Orchard as a 22-1 outsider in the Seeking the Ante. The Parx-based filly is right there on numbers and should impact the pace.
#8 Mobelladream (5-1) was the favorite in her local sprint bow on Aug. 25 and she stalked and scored by a half-length, and runner-up Clarividente was 10 lengths clear of the show finisher and she returned to finish second at Monmouth on Sept. 14.. She earned a competitive number last time and Anthony Farrior shows a profit in the non-graded stakes ranks.
