Horse Comments:
#1 Coalville (7-2) stretches back out and returns to the main track. He chased from second and graduated at this course and distance (April 2024), and he stalked the pace and missed by a head in his first start vs. winners at this trip (May 2024). He returned from a long layoff and rallied to miss by a half-length in his first start in 11+ months on June 22. He was third in a dirt sprint (off the turf) on July 10, and stalked wide and was an even 5th of 8 at 5.5T on Aug. 2. The 1-for-14 gelding reunites with his winning rider Paco Lopez and he should be forwardly placed from the inside post.
#2 Encrypt (5-1) stalked the pace and graduated by 2 3/4 lengths in a Mcl-12.5k dirt route at Churchill on June 14 and Phil Airstone claimed him that day. He reconnects with Abner Adorno and this sophomore gelding landed the place in half of his six local starts.
#5 Chachaching (5-1) went last-to-first in a Mcl-20k dirt route at Churchill on June 21 and Robert Masco is a profitable 23% first after the claim. He will try to get involved late.
#7 War Commander (9-2) ran well in three of his last four starts at one mile. He shipped from Gulfstream to Penn National and missed the place by a head in a clear show finish on July 24. He should be forwardly placed under his new rider Mychel Sanchez.
#8 Wrap and Send (3-1) aired by a dozen lengths in a Mcl-15k affair at this course/distance on June 18, and he landed the show as the beaten favorite in a flat mile event at Delaware on July 19 (off the turf).
