Horse Comments:
#1 Decapo (2-1) pressed, led, and settled for the show as the even money favorite in a similar 6T affair April 30. Joel Rosario takes the call and he is 6-for-10 with John Sadler recently.
#7 Grey’s Boy (9-2) stalked the pace from post 10 and graduated by 2 1/4 lengths in his local 6T bow at 10-1 odds March 22. He was 1.90-1 second time out and pressed and ended up 4th of 6 in the common April 30 turf sprint. Armando Ayuso strings along and he can take this if he runs back to his bow.
#2 Steak Fries (4-1) stalked from the inside post and finished 1 1/4 lengths in front of Decapo last time and that was his first start since November 2024 (first lasix). Kazushi Kimura strings along and a stalking trip is projected.
#4 Scene by Me (5-2) scratched from a CA-bred dirt sprint on May 25. He was 6-1 in his local 6T bow June 2025 and he rallied for the place. He disappeared for 8+ months and returned as a gelding Feb. 28, and he wired the field under Emisael Jaramillo. Curlin Command finished third that day and he was a next-out winner. He set a pressure pace and weakened to 6th of 7 at 6.5T April 17. His winning rider Jaramillo stays put and he should be right up on the pace.
#8 Bee Eye Gee (6-1) set a pressured pace from the inside post and was a clear 3rd of 4 at 6.5T March 27, and he stretched out, dueled, and held the show at 8T April 25. Juan Hernandez stays put and he turns back and should be forwardly placed from the outside post.
