Horse Comments:
#3 Limes Don’t Lie (7-2) was part of the trifecta in all six starts and both of her wins were at seven panels. She rallied to win a local entry level allowance affair at 7f last summer (runner-up next-out winner), and was best of the rest in her needed comeback May 8. She was clearly second best behind classy romping winner Scottish Lassie June 7 and this is her third start off the bench. Her winning rider Dylan Davis is 4-for-16 with Chad Brown and a stalking trip is expected.
#6 The Big Calhouna (6-1) chased the pace and was best of the rest in third at 6f June 11. That was her first start in more than half a year and Linda Rice claimed her for $80k that day. She is 0-for-1 at SAR and 1-for-5 at 6.5f, and she reconnects with her winning rider Manny Franco.
#7 Alyeska (9-5) was 6-1 in her CD bow last September and she went last-to-first in that 11-horse field. She moved to the Chad Brown barn and finished a clear third at SAR July 2025 (beaten 7 lengths), and missed by a neck in August. She beat next-out winner Grammy Girl when last seen September 2025. Chad Brown’s returnee switches to Jose Ortiz.
#4 Strong State (4-1) ran well in three straight dirt sprints last year including a local win in July. She returned from a layoff of more than half a year and finished an okay fourth June 7. Flavien Prat takes the call and she is 2-for-3 at SAR.
