#1 Blanchett (7-2) broke last of 9 in her local 5.5T bow on July 30 and she ran on for the show in a decent effort. Snow Face Princess won that heat and she returned to take the Bolton Landing at 6-1 odds on Aug. 17. They paid $335k for this Oscar Performance filly and dam Knit One Purr Too won the Stormy Blues (5T) at Pimlico in 2014. Graham Motion is 26% with his first route starters.
#2 Time to Dream (2-1) was 7-2 in her local flat mile turf bow and she sat in midpack and smartly graduated by 2 1/4 lengths. Todd Pletcher’s $750k Not This Time filly attracts Irad Ortiz, Jr. and she could easily make it two straight wins.
#7 Scratch It (3-1) was 12-1 in her local turf route bow and she controlled the pace through tepid fractions (24.84, 51.04, 1:15.64) and turned away presser Miss Picky and won by a length and a quarter. Manny Franco rode her last time but opted to ride Blanchett in this contest. The $490k Tapit filly gets the services of Flavien Prat and he wins races with Brad Cox.
#4 Tiz in Sight (5-1) stretches out after two dirt sprints. Tiz the Law is a 23% first turf sire and Mark Casse shows a profit with his first turf and first route starters.
