#1 Shea Brennan (3-1) was part of the trifecta in all eight dirt starts (3 wins) and he likes this main track (5 2-1-2). He stalked and scored in a local OC sprint under Saturday’s rider Ayuso on Aug. 31, and he was an even 4th in the California Flag on turf Oct. 11. The sophomore colt returned a faster horse in his first two local dirt starts over the summer.
#5 Man O Rose (8-5) won seven of his last ten starts. He has captured three CA-bred stakes races since last fall including a pair of stakes wins from as many starts this year.
#2 Clovisconnection (7-2) found his way into the trifecta in eight of his last ten starts (4 stakes wins). He earned a decent number in a show finish in a dirt route stakes at EMD Sept. 7 and the runner-up was a next-out winner.
