#3 They Call Me Sue (9-5) dueled and finished 4th of 5 in his all-weather sprint bow, and he hit the board in all four local dirt sprints since. Tony Wilson claimed him for $25k late last year and he added lasix and missed by a half-length Jan. 31 (Peppapete 3rd), and he dueled and was best of the rest in third at seven panels Feb. 15. One of his best efforts was a neck defeat at this course and distance (12-10-25). Leading rider Samuel Marin strings along and he might be able to wire the field at this speed friendly distance.
#7 Peppapete (6-5) was a clear third at 5-2 odds in his local debut and Jon Arnett claimed him for $25k that day. He stalked wide from the outside post and finished third again in a Mcl-32k sprint Feb. 21. He is back at his claimed level and another wide stalking trip from the outside post is anticipated.
#4 More Than Cute (8-1) is 0-for-7 overall and he landed the show in both starts at this distance. He gets in light with 10-pound apprentice Johanis Aranguren and can get a piece of the purse.
