Check out my Wednesday (3-25-26) Turfway Park Race 9 analysis below.

TP 9 (OC-40k/2x, 3&up, 6f all-weather) – Post Time  9:55 PM ET
Primary – #8 SWILL, #1 The Great Oz
Secondary – #5 Live High Live Low, #2 Baxley

Horse Comments:

#8 Swill (7-2) pressed the pace and scored in a similar local 6f affair as the favorite Jan. 21 and that was a fast race. He chased and faded to 4th of 7 (beaten 7 lengths) Feb. 18 and his new trainer Eric Foster is a profitable 11% first after the claim. His new pilot Fernando De La Cruz is a profitable 5-for-25 with this outfit and an outer pressing trip is expected.

#1 The Great Oz (5-2) has a good overall record on all-weather ground (19 5-6-1). He won a pair of synthetic sprints at WO last year for Martin Drexler. He moved to the Joe Sharp barn this year and landed the place behind G T Five Hundred in a local sprint Jan. 7, and the latter clicked right back in the Forego Feb. 13. This one stretched out, set the pace, and settled for the place in a similar flat mile affair March 6. The 8-year-old gelding turns back and is entered for the $40k tag, and Rafael Hernandez stays put and he is 6-for-15 with this outfit.

#5 Live High Live Low (8-1) won a pair of turf races in 2025 and he completed the trifecta in his final start last year at 8T. He stalked the pace and missed the place by a head in a similar local sprint Feb. 18. He can spice up the exotics.

#2 Baxley (4-1) was part of the exacta in seven of his last nine dirt starts and he is 2-for-3 at this distance. The early-pressing gelding gets the services of 21% local rider Walter Rodriguez and he is 4-for-10 with Larry Rivelli. He is a logical pace player if he handles the footing.
