Los Alamitos Race Course
LRC 8 (Soi Phet, CA-bred, 8f) #2 KING ABNER (5-2) exits an even 4th in the Crystal Water at one mile on turf. He is 0-for-5 on turf and 6-for-20 on dirt, and he has won at Los Al before. A stalking trip is expected. #1 Brandothebartender (5-1) is going to sit back and make one late run, and that strategy might work out in a race with multiple early runners. The pace could end up fast and contested. He has not won in quite some time but frequently hits the board. #3 Take the One O One (3-1) looked good going all the way in a flat mile optional claimer at SA May 22. He always runs his race on fast dirt and should make his presence felt throughout. #4 Three Ay Em (10-1) is switching surfaces in his first start after the Lerner claim, and they must have nabbed him with this race in mind. I like his stalking style and he might be able to spice up the exotics. Wagers: #2 to win, Exacta Box 1-2, Trifecta Key 2/1-3-4, Trifecta 2/ALL/1
