Comments: #3 Ragtime Blues (7-5) is very quick early for Baffert, and cutting back a bit in distance definitely helps his cause. He smartly went all the way in his first two starts this year, and was not disgraced in a runner-up finish behind very good sprinter Collusion Illusion in the Laz Barrera (G3) at 6.5f June 20. #4 Vertical Threat (6-5) moved to dirt and romped in a MSW affair at LRC June 27. The $100k purchase has upside for Baltas. #2 Thanks Mr. Eidson (7-2) romped in a local maiden dirt sprint last summer. He landed the show in his last two turf sprints, and his early-pressing versatility should play well in this spot.
