Comments: #4 El Tigre Terrible (2-1) had an uncomfortable trip in the Oceanside on opening day. He won two local dirt sprints last summer at Prat strings along. I like is running style versatility and he could easily rebound in his third start after a layoff. #7 Lightning Fast (8-1) showed marked improvement in a sharp maiden win Jan. 30, and raced wide and finished last vs. non-CA bred older foes in his needed prep for this July 10. He is the upsetter. #2 Margot’s Boy (4-1) is a decent turf router with speed. Lewis shows a +ROI in the non-graded ranks and Van Dyke strings along. #1 Rookie Mistake (5-2) turns back and returns to dirt. Both of his wins were in turf sprints, but he did land the place in 2 of 3 dirt sprints including a head defeat in the Echo Eddie. #6 Clayton Delaney (8-1) added blinkers and showed marked improvement in his LRC maiden win second time out July 3. Cedillo rides back for D’Amato and he should attend the pace from an outer post.
