Comments: This is probably a match race between #3 Parnelli (5-2) and #5 Life Is Good (2-5), and the former will offer more value. Parnelli finished 1-2 in all four outings and easily graduated at this distance at DMR Nov. 28. I like his early/pressing versatility and this will be his fourth start at a flat mile. Life Is Good showed an impressive display of speed in his 6.5f bow at DMR as the overwhelming favorite Nov. 22, and runner-up Wipe the Slate returned to graduate at SA last weekend. Baffert’s $525k purchase could easily score as very low odds. #1 Medina Spirit (6-1) is also trained by Baffert and he might be going to the lead from the rail under Cedillo. He looked sharp in his winning 5.5f bow at LRC.
