Gregorian Chant (GB) has found a home in turf sprints. Jolie Olimpica (BRZ) was the solid favorite and she had the early lead, but Cistron dueled with her and make her work hard throughout. Sombeyay pounced from 3rd and Gregorian Chant was rallying wide. It briefly looked like Gregorian Chant would sweep to a clear win, but Sombeyay made him work for it and the final margin was a neck. Jolie Olimpica outdueled Cistron for the show and Barriston the Bold and Bob and Jackie trailed.
Beholder Mile (G1)
Swiss Skydiver was too classy for these and it did not hurt that she sat a dream inside trip. Golden Principal set sail for the early lead and Harvest Moon chased outside. Swiss Skydiver was tucked into a beautiful spot from the inside post and patiently waited for racing room under Robby Albarado. The latter surged to the front and won comfortably by a bit less than three lengths. As Time Goes By stalked outside and finished nicely for the place, and Golden Principal was best of the rest in 3rd. Harvest Moon weakened to 4th and This Tea, Clockstrikestwelve, and Miss Stormy D trailed.

Leggs Galore took over at once from the outside post and she basically ran them off their feet in this turf sprint. She was the 1.30-1 favorite and ran like it under Ricardo Gonzalez. She was well clear throughout and scored by a comfortable 2-1/4 lengths. Bella Vita stalked inside and was clearly second best, and Sadie Bluegrass chased the pace and edged Nardini and Pulpit Rider for the show. Sapphire Kid and Scarlet Heat trailed.
