Santa Anita Park
SA 10 (G3 Affirmed, 8.5f) #4 Defunded (5-2) puts blinkers back on and returns to SoCal for Baffert. He looked good graduating as a first time gelding in his March 6 return, and ended up 4th in the SA Derby (G1) and Pat Day Mile (G2) in his last pair. This race is probably key to his immediate future. If he fails to see out the distance, look for him to turn back at Del Mar this summer.
