LRC 8 (G2 Great Lady M Stakes, 6.5f) #5 GAMINE (1-5) towers over her rivals. Baffert’s fresh, talented filly has never lost a sprint and will probably wire the field at miniscule odds. She won both her starts this year and the 2-3 finishers from her last were next-out stakes winners. Gamine’s stablemate #3 Qahira (10-1) is consistent and does some of her best work at this distance. She projects a stalking trip and can get a piece of this. #4 Edgeway (3-1) is the second most likely winner, and her early-pressing versatility should lead to a good trip under Prat. She runs well fresh and is firing bullets for this. Wagers: Trifecta 5-3-4
