Del Mar Stakes Recaps for 8-14-21

CTT and TOC Stakes Recap – Winner: Neige Blanche ($9.40)

Ippodamia’s Girl was intent on the lead and Tapwater comfortably tracked in 2nd. Rideforthecause and Neige Blanche stalked the pace and the latter enjoyed a ground saving trip. Red Lark was sitting outside in 5th. Tapwater forged to the lead and was clear and briefly looked home free, but Neige Blanche tipped out and showed a nice kick late to score by a half-length over Red Lark. The latter was wide throughout and finished well, and trips probably all made the difference between the top two finishers. Tapwater safely saved the show and Rideforthecause was right behind him. Crystalle was next, followed by Global Brand, Catch the Eye, and a fading Ippodamia’s Girl.

The 20 cent Rainbow Pick 6 pool was $677,340, and multiple tickets with six winners paid $2,766.30. The jackpot carryover stands at $1,491,923.

Del Mar Stakes Recaps for 8-15-21

Solana Beach Stakes Recap – Winner: Pulpit Rider ($16.60)

Leggs Galore was aggressively handled early but this turf course has not been kind to front end speed. The early leader was rolling along at a good clip and started to get tired in the stretch. Nardini chased from 2nd, led, and briefly looked home free but Pulpit Rider rallied from last to score by a nose under Prat. Beaten favorite Warren’s Showtime stalked from the outside post and had every chance but failed to quicken and settled for the show. Leggs Galore weakened to 4th and Sedamar and Cassie Belle trailed.

The 20 cent Rainbow Pick 6 pool was $669,141, and multiple tickets with six winners paid $194.24. The jackpot carryover stands at $1,645,118.
