Santa Anita Stakes Recaps for 3-12-22
San Luis Rey (G3): Morning line favorite Say the Word scratched, and that left front runner Acclimate ($4.20) as the chalk. The latter, and 8yo CA-bred gelding, controlled the pace and held off Dicey Mo Chara to score by a half-length. The latter was 3+ clear of Current, and my value top choice Offlee Naughty finished a neck in front of Red King. Henley’s Joy and Airman trailed. The final time for 12T was 2:25.40.

Santa Anita Recap for Sunday (3-13-22)
Fast main track and firm turf course. One front running winner at one mile on dirt. Forwardly placed pressers and stalkers won the other four dirt races. On the turf course, a stalker scored at 6f, a stalked tallied down the hill, and a slow starting, early moving closer captured the 6f finale (rail at 30 feet).
Santa Anita Stakes Recaps for 3-13-22
Las Flores (G3): Edgeway ($2.60) easily won this six panel stakes. Private Mission was aggressively handled from the rail under Juan Hernandez, but Edgeway was glued to her flank. The latter just cruised to the front and drew away to score by seven lengths. Private Mission was clearly second best. Dynasty of Her Own raced in third throughout and Aloha Kitten stumbled badly at the start and trailed throughout.
The 20 cent Rainbow 6 pool was $160,130, and multiple tickets with six winners paid $709.26. The jackpot carryover stands at $358,858.
