On the turf course, a dueling front runner graduated in the 9f opener, two stalkers scored at 8f, Fly the Sky stumbled badly at the start and almost dumped Hernandez, and somehow rallied to win at 9f. The final turf race at 9f was captured by a stalker (rail at 10 feet).
Abel Cedillo (maiden dirt sprints) and Ramon Vazquez both booted home a pair.
