Race 4: Gr. II $200,000 Saratoga Special Stakes (6.5F, Dirt, 2yr Old’s)
#2 – Damon’s Mound (7-5): Looked very professional on debut for Michelle Lovell as Gabriel Saez never had to move his hands. The son of Girvin went 6F’s in 1:09 and ended up crossing the wire 12 lengths ahead of the second-place finisher. Looks like the main competition to #4 – Gulfport (4-5) who is also your likely pace setter. The son of Uncle Mo is 2-for-2 with a win last time out in the Bashford Manor after breaking his maiden by seven on debut. Plays: #2 to Win
Race 10: Gr. I $500,000 Fourstardave Handicap (8F, Inner Turf, 3yr Old’s +)
#3 – Regal Glory (6-5): Has won four in a row dating back to last year’s Gr. I Matriarch score and has gone on to win two other Gr. I’s since; Jenny Wiley and Just A Game. The six-year-old mare is looking to become only the second female to win the Fourstardave behind Got Stormy (in 2019 and 2021). The second and third place finishers from the Just A Game also came back to win their subsequent start so that’s another good sign for this mare. #4 – Masen (2-1) comes into this race off a two race win streak and has taken three of his last four. Won the Gr. II Poker last time out and he just missed in the Gr. I Makers Mark in April so his form fits with this group. Plays: #3 to Win
