Keeneland – BC Friday
Weather: Temperatures in the high 70’s with low chance of showers
R7: Gr. I $2,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (8.5F, Dirt, 2yr Old Fillies) Best Bet
#8 – Atomically (12-1): Moves to the Todd Pletcher barn and one must stop to think why? After watching the filly’s replays, it is apparent this one has some abilities. Last time out, she went wide into the first turn and still managed to get into great position before turning for home. Luis Saez jumps aboard, and I think she is a player here. #7 – Chop Chop (4-1) stays on dirt for Brand Cox and finished second in the Gr. I Alcibiades Stakes to #5 – Wonder Wheel (5-1). The latter is 3-for-4 for Mark Casse and her versatile run style could pay dividends in this one. Plays: #8 to Win, Exacta 8 – 5,7
Pick 3 Tickets: Races 7-9
Ticket #1: 8 /9 /3
Ticket #2: 5,7,8,10,14/ 4,5,6,7,9,10,13 /3
Ticket #3: 8/ 4,5,9,10 /3,10
R8: Gr. I $2,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (8F, Turf, 2yr Old Fillies)
#9 – Delight (6-1): Has won two in a row for Jonathan Thomas who normally does not point his horses to these races. Last time out, the Chestnut filly by Mendelssohn went wire to wire in the Gr. II Jessamine Stakes over this same course going 8.5F’s in 1:44. She cuts back to the mile, and I think she is versatile enough to overcome a variety of scenarios. #10 – Meditate (4-1) has never missed the exacta from six starts but has never traveled this distance. Plays: #9 to win, Exacta Box 9, 10
