Weather: Temperatures in the high 70’s with moderate chance of showers in the afternoon
R9: Gr. III $175,000 Schuylerville Stakes (6F, Dirt, Fillies, 2yrs Old)
I believe this race will run through #7 – Wine On Tap (5-2) for Todd Pletcher and Irad Ortiz Jr. The grey filly by Tapit (out of Princess La Quinta) won on debut by stalking pacesetter Devil At Midnight in the early going. Just before the top of the stretch, Irad shook the reins and that was essentially all that needed to happen. It took a her a minute to switch lead legs but once she did it was all over. #4 – Status Seeker (12-1) ran on nicely between horses in her first race and should get a faster pace this time around. Rosario is a strong finisher so I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one in the exotics.
