Fast main track and firm turf course. Two front running winners at six panels on dirt. On the turf course, a 5-1 front runner graduated at 5f, a 13-1 closing first timer graduated at 5f, a stalking favorite tallied at 5f, and a 7-1 front runner earned his diploma at one mile (rail at 18 feet).

George Papaprodromou saddled two winners on the main track.

Del Mar Recap for Saturday (12-2-23)

Fast main track and firm turf course. No front running sprint winners on dirt. On the turf course, a closing favorite captured the flat mile opener, front running favorite Unconquerable Keen (IRE) won the Stormy Liberal at 5f, 10-1 front runner Zona Verde (IRE) stole the Jimmy Durante (G3) at one mile, closing favorite Program Trading (GB) won the Hollywood Derby (G1) at 1 1/8 miles, and a 5-2 stalker graduated in the flat mile finale.

Four-bagger for Flavien Prat (3 turf wins). Phil D’Amato saddled a pair of turf stakes winners.

Dec. 2 Claims: Race 1 – Margot’s Boy ($20k, Mark Glatt).

Del Mar Recap for Sunday (12-3-23)

Fast main track and firm turf course. One front running sprint winner at 6 1/2 furlongs on dirt. On the turf course, a 9-1 midpack stalker graduated in the flat mile opener, a closing favorite scored at one mile, Stay Hot closed for the win at 2-1 odds in the Cecil B. DeMille (G3) at one mile, Surge Capacity rallied for the win at 9-2 odds in the Matriarch (G1) at one mile, and a stalking favorite earned his diploma in the meet finale at 1 1/16 miles.

Flavien Prat (turf routes) and apprentice J.G. Torrealba (dirt sprints) both booted home two winners. Hat trick for trainer Peter Eurton (2 turf routes).
