Check out my Santa Anita Park race 6 analysis for 1-19-24 below.
SA 6 (Clm-25k, 5T)
Primary – #6 TEEN DRAMA, #5 Dancing Soul
Secondary – #3 Gypsy Lynn, #2 A New Peace
Wagers: #6 to win, Exacta 6-5, Trifecta key 6/2-3-5, Superfecta 5-6/5-6/2-3/2-3
Comments: #6 Teen Drama (5-2) was no threat in her last two turf sprints in the optional-claiming ranks. The 3-time turf sprint winner won a $32k affair at 5T last summer. Prat is 10-for-25 with D’Amato and she should make her presence felt in the lane. #5 Dancing Soul (3-1) exits an easy front running dirt sprint win at LRC, and she is 0-for-5 with a trio of underneath finishes in turf sprints. The pace player might be dangerous at this abbreviated trip, but Morfin is 0-for-13 with his turf sprint starters. #3 Gypsy Lynn (5-1) hit the board in half of her eight turf sprint attempts. She returns to the claiming ranks and is probably in the mix for a minor award for recently hot trainer Knapp. #2 A New Peace (5-1) rallied to miss the show by a nose at 5T Nov. 26 and Barocio claimed her that day. She exits an even 4th in a dirt sprint and Barocio is 3-for-14 with a trio of runner-up finishes in his second after the claim starters. On a negative note, this mare is 0-for-7 with zero top three finishes in turf sprints.
