Comments: #5 Billy’s Bet (5-2) is out of the state bred optional-claiming ranks. He reconnects with his winning rider Franco and will probably be forwardly placed in a race with a murky pace scenario. #1 National Generaux (5-2) was second best at this level in a local 8T affair Feb. 11 and Papaprodromou claimed him that day. He turned back and rallied for the show at 6.5T Feb. 24, and the 1-for-18 gelding stretches back out and will probably stalk the pace from the inside post. #2 Derecho Dandy (2-1) is 1-for-18 with seven minor placings. He turned back, returned to turf, and ran on for the place Feb. 25 (National Generaux 3rd). He attracts Hernandez and a stalking trip is anticipated.
