Comments: #1 Big Novel (2-1) chased the pace and fired trifecta shots in her last four starts at one mile on dirt. Hernandez is 3-for-5 with this outfit (all 5 finished in Top 3), and she figures to save ground stalking the pace. #4 Lisa’s Nonno (7-5) finished a length and a half in front of Big Novel in her last pair. Fresu rides her well and she should be all over the pace. #2 Gila (4-1) might be the one to catch in her second start after a layoff. She battled on the pace and scored by 5 1/4 lengths under Kent D at DMR last summer. She was over her head at 36-1 odds in the Dark Mirage, and was fourth in her last two starts.
