Check out my Wednesday (4-17-24) Race 8 analysis at Keeneland below.

KEE 8 (Mcl-100k, 3&up, 7f)
Primary – #8 OLIVIER, #7 Practical Thought
Secondary – #1 Trumptastic, #6 Indy Magic

Horse Comments:

#8 Olivier (5-2) stalked and weakened at 2-1 odds in his special weight sprint bow at Oaklawn on Jan. 28, and dueled and weakened at one mile on Feb. 25. Rodolphe Brisset has good stats with this type of class dropper and Flavien Prat takes the call. He had a decent local breeze on April 7.

#7 Practical Thought (7-2) added lasix and missed by a head in a maiden optional-claiming sprint at Fair Grounds second time out. He stalked from the outside post last time and projects a similar trip in this race.

#1 Trumptastic (9-5) returns to dirt and drops out of the special weight ranks in his second start of the year. He landed the place in two of five starts including a neck defeat at Keeneland last spring.

#6 Indy Magic (6-1) is a $100k first timer for Doug O’Neill and Good Magic is a decent debut sire. He has been stabled at Keeneland all year.
