Check out my Thursday (4-18-24) Race 6 analysis at Keeneland below.

KEE 6 (MSW-100k, 3&up, 8.5f)
Primary – #4 REYNOLDS CHANNEL, #7 Secret Crush
Secondary – #1 Unlimitedpotential

Horse Comments:

#4 Reynolds Channel (5-2) stalked and faded in his Saratoga debut last summer, and subsequent Gotham (G3) hero Deterministic won that race. This one resurfaced in a flat mile special weight affair at Gulfstream on March 16, and he attended the pace and missed by a length. He finished 10 3/4 lengths in front of the rest of the field. Bill Mott’s $300k West Coast colt added lasix last time and should be tough to overhaul if he improves again.

#7 Secret Crush (6-5) was the beaten chalk in both starts but did improve second time out. He dueled and missed by a nose on March 16 (blinkers on), and he ended up a length in front of Reynolds Channel that day. Todd Pletcher’s $300k Candy Ride colt should be forwardly placed under Irad Ortiz Jr.

#1 Unlimitedpotential (7-2) was the beaten favorite in all four starts and landed the place in three of those races. Todd Pletcher’s underachiever adds blinkers stretches back out in his third start after a long layoff. He missed by a nose in his lone route try. Luis Saez stays put and he drilled a best of 61 bullet for this on April 6.
