Check out my Friday (4-19-24) Race 9 analysis at Keeneland below.

KEE 9 (G3 Doubledogdare, f&m, 8.5f)
Primary – #1 RAGING SEA, #3 Scylla
Secondary – #4 Loved

Horse Comments:

I have always liked #1 Raging Sea (5-2). She won her seven panel bow at Saratoga in 2022, and crossed the line in third in the Grade 1 Alcibiades and BC Juvenile Fillies. She set the pace and weakened to fourth in her needed 2023 return at Saratoga, and ran better in her next start at the Spa. She ended 2023 with back-to-back wins including a nose score in the Grade 3 Comely. Chad Brown’s Curlin filly reconnects with her winning rider Flavien Prat.

#3 Scylla (8-5) cruised from off the pace in her first two starts last year. She missed by a neck as the beaten 1-2 favorite in a flat mile optional-claiming race at Gulfstream on March 17, and that was her first outing in more than nine months. She is 1-for-1 at Keeneland and sports back-to-back bullets for this.

#4 Loved (3-1) makes her first start since July 2023. She romped times last year as the favorite including a local maiden victory off a long layoff by 11 lengths. She might be the one to catch.
