#8 Vergara (4-1) is probably worth a wager due to her possible pace advantage. Flavien Prat hops aboard the 3-time stakes winner and this is her first start in more than five months. She battled on the pace and ended up a bit more than two lengths behind Friday’s favorite War Like Goddess in a graded marathon at Saratoga last summer.
#6 War like Goddess (3-5) is obviously the class of the field. The 11-for-18 mare has banked more than $2.5 million, and she is 3-for-5 at Keeneland and 7-for-10 at a mile and a half. Bill Mott’s closing 7-year-old mare won this race in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
#1 Chop Chop (12-1) is a consistent filly with a decent closing kick for Brad Cox. She won a turf stakes race at Kentucky Downs in her second career start in 2022, and just missed in the Grade 1 Alcibiades on dirt. She frequently finishes in the top three and can run on anything. She captured stakes races on turf and all-weather ground, and is stakes-placed on dirt. She can spice up the exotics if she handles the added ground of this race.
