Check out my Tuesday (5-7-24) Race 9 analysis at Parx Racing below.
Parx 9 (OC-50k, 3&up, 1 1/16 miles)
Primary – #2 IRISH CORK, #1 Movisitor
Secondary – #7 Windsor Gold, #6 Ten Gauge, #3 Yodel E. A. Who
Horse Comments:
#2 Irish Cork (7-2) stalked the pace and was clearly second best in a similar local flat mile affair on March 18. The fresh gelding reconnects with his winning rider Frankie Pennington, and he might sit the right trip behind a few speed horses.
#1 Movisitor (5-1) dueled from an outer post before weakening in the Page McKenney Stakes on April 22, and that was his first start in four months. He wired the field in a pair of local dirt routes last year, and he might try to go all the way from the inside post.
#7 Windsor Gold (5-1) has the speed to succeed. He always fires exacta shots at this distance and should make his presence felt from the outset.
#6 Ten Gauge (6-1) stalked the pace and ran off the screen in a fast local route win at 26-1 odds on April 9, and the show finisher was a next-out winner. He can compete here if able to run two alike.
#3 Yodel E. A. Who (9-2) is a relatively reliable late running gelding. The race flow might be in his favor and he can rally for a share.
