Horse Comments:
#3 Risk Tolerance (3-1) stalked and scored in his local turf route bow on April 21. Chad Brown and company paid $309k for this one in 2022 and his winning rider Manny Franco stays put. He was doing his best work in the late going last time and figures to enjoy the added ground of this race.
#2 Legend of Time (2-1) was up on the pace under Frankie Dettori before weakening over a rain-softened course at Churchill on May 4. Joel Rosario hops aboard for Charlie Appleby and he might be able to control the pace this time. He cruised by 4 3/4 lengths in his lone try at this distance on March 2.
#1 White Palomino (6-1) was an even third at 8-1 odds in his turf route bow at Gulfstream in January. He was 7-2 in a 1 3/16 miles affair at Keeneland second time out and got a great stalking trip and won by 2 lengths. Flavien Prat is a profitable 29% with Chad Brown recently and he figures to work out an inner stalking trip just like he did last time.
Bill Mott must think that his improving colt #5 Royal Majesty (5-1) has a shot in this graded turf route, and I am not going to argue with that assessment. He improved his speed ratings in all three starts in this country including a nice entry level victory from off the pace at Keeneland in an allowance turf route on April 13.
