Check out my Friday (7-12-24) Saratoga Race 8 analysis below.

SAR 8 (Wilton, 3yo fillies, One mile dirt) – Post Time 5:12pm EDT
Primary – #1 MISS JUSTIFY, #6 Bells Beach
Secondary – #4 Striker Has Dial

Horse Comments:

#1 Miss Justify (3-1) has a nice distance progression and is on the upswing for Todd Pletcher. She dueled and smartly tallied by 2 1/2 lengths in a flat mile optional-claiming event at Churchill on June 1. Flavien Prat takes the call and early-pressing types from inner posts can be dangerous at this course and distance.

#6 Bells Beach (5-2) finished an even fourth from an outer post in her extended sprint bow at Keeneland on April 5. She got another furlong to work with as the favorite at Churchill second time out, and she moved up in a big way in a sharp victory from the outside post. Irad Ortiz Jr. chose her over Miss Justify and she could easily take this.

#4 Striker Has Dial (3-1) is the one to catch. She easily wired the field in her seven panel debut in the mud at Laurel on May 4. She set the pace and was clearly second best behind romping favorite Ways and Means at this course and distance at 28-1 on June 6. Kendrick Carmouche got to know her last time and she might get brave if able to shak loose early.
