#2 Adare Manor (3-5) should be all over below par fractions. Bob Baffert’s talented early-pressing mare is a 9-for-17 win type, and she is 4-for-6 with a runner-up finish at this distance. She easily went all the way in the G1 Apple Blossom and G2 Santa Margarita, and she won this race last summer.
#5 Desert Dawn (10-1) does not win often. She won the G2 SA Oaks in 2022 and the G3 La Canada earlier this year, and hit the board in ten graded races. The fresh mare usually runs her race at DMR (6 1-3-1) and figures to stalk the pace under Antonio Fresu.
#1 Flying Connection (20-1) might try to wire the field from the rail. The 7-for-16 filly stretches back out and returns to the Todd Fincher barn, and she is 3-for-4 with a runner-up finish at 1 1/6 miles. She rallied for the place behind Adare Manor at 26-1 odds in the Apple Blossom in April.
