Horse Comments:
#1 Triple Pass (7-5) dropped to this level and battled on the pace and was clearly second best of 10 at this course/distance on July 21. Juan Hernandez hops aboard and he is 3-for-8 with Michael McCarthy, and the $275k purchase won’t be 10-1 this time.
#5 Kissmeyoufool (7-2) stretches out after two sprints and Knapp shows a profit with his first route starters. Blinkers go on and that is a strong move for this trainer and Tiago Pereira wins races with this outfit. He smartly moved forward in a clear place finish second time out on July 7.
#6 Classic Alphie (30-1) earned an improved number when finishing a wide fourth (beaten 10 lengths) in the same race Triple Pass exits. He might be able to hit the board for resurgent trainer George Papaprodromou.
#7 R Awesome Kid (12-1) stalked wide and finished a good second when he dropped to this level on July 4. He should be in the mix from the outset.
#4 Eddie’s Wave (12-1) needed his July 25 return. He sports two local works since his last and might move forward and hit the board.
