Horse Comments:
#3 Class Clown (5-2) adds blinkers after attending the pace and weakening in a local OC-40k/1x dirt sprint at 23-1 odds on Aug. 4. The early-pressing type is 2-for-2 at this distance and should be a player from the outset in this restricted claimer.
#10 She’s Just Fluffy (7-2) fired trifecta shots in her first four dirt sprints (2 wins at SA). She flopped as a 28-1 longshot at 8T on July 28 and is down in class and back in a preferred dirt sprint. She skipped conditions and cleared this level on June 9. She will probably chase the pace while out in the clear under profitable sprint rider Tiago Pereira.
#2 Just Is (9-2) chased the pace and hit the board in her last two dirt sprints under Hector Berrios. This trainer is 0-for-25 in 2024 and this filly is the best horse in the barn. I like her chances underneath.
#11 Barbera (8-1) was part of the trifecta in her last nine starts. Ordonez re-claimed this one for $16k late last year and this is her first start since. She is protected in this spot and she reconnects with her winning rider Diego Herrera.
#6 Dr. Ray D. (6-1) fired trifecta shots in four straight at GP from November 2023 through May 2024. She was a flat 5th last time and the show finisher was a next-out winner. The synthetic sprint specialist likes this distance and this is her first dirt attempt.
