The twelve juvenile filly entrants will travel one mile on the turf course and Thought Process is the 9-5 morning line favorite. Madonna of Loreto was an also-eligible scratch on Sept. 6. She stalked the pace and split an 8-horse field in her local turf sprint bow on Aug. 1 and the runner-up was a next-out winner. Phil D’Amato shows a profit with his first route starts and with second timers, and the $175k purchase is an interesting player under profitable turf rider Armando Ayuso.
Thought Process was a clear third in her local dirt sprint bow. She was 7-1 that day, and she smartly won as the favorite in a turf route second time out. Hector Berrios stays put and he wins races with Phil D’Amato, and this rider shows a profit on turf.
