Horse Comments:
#9 Rastaman Vibe (3-1) stalked the pace and missed by a neck in a similar turf route at SA Oct. 13 (head behind Baldoro), and he might have a bit more to offer in his third start after a layoff. His winning rider Juan Hernandez strings along and he is 3-for-8 with +ROI turf trainer Peter Eurton. This one is 1-for-13 overall and does some of his best work at DMR (5 1-1-2).
#2 Baldoro (9-2) was part of the trifecta in his last five turf routes. He missed by a neck Oct. 14 and this is his second start after a layoff. He is 1-for-14 with six minor awards.
#4 McGregor Lake (12-1) hit the board in back-to-back CA-bred OC-20k/1x turf races earlier this year and went off form in his last five starts. Doug O’Neill claimed him for $25k Nov. 3 and he fits with these on his best day. Edwin Maldonado is a profitable 26% with this outfit recently.
#3 Big Juanito (6-1) rallied to break his maiden in a local $62.5k turf route Aug. 25. He split a 10-horse field and was beaten 1 3/4 lengths at SA Oct. 14. Hector Berrios strings along and he can make an impact in the lane.
#10 Presider (5-1) ran last in a dirt route at KEE April 18. Tim Yakteen has him now and he missed by a neck in a turf route last fall. He might be the one to catch.
