#8 Supa Speed (7-2) stalked from 2nd and graduated by 1 1/2 lengths in a local 5T affair Aug. 1 and runner-up Sophistry earned her diploma Aug. 22. She stretched out and rallied to finish a clear second in the Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf at 8T Sept. 7. She took on the boys in the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance at 8T on the BC Friday undercard, and she was stuck in traffic for much of the running and ended up 12th of 14. Flavien Prat hops aboard John Sadler’s $460k Justify filly and she fits with these if she is able to work out a clean trip.
#9 Sea Runner (9-2) improved her speed ratings in all three starts. She landed the show in her first two flat mile turf starts and was 2 1/2 lengths behind Supa Speed Sept. 7. She was less than even money in a MSW affair at SA Oct. 4 and she chased from 2nd and graduated by a half length under Umberto Rispoli.
#1 Resolve (6-1) rallied from post 10 to graduate at this course/distance Nov. 3. She figures to save ground under her winning rider Hector Berrios this time.
