#2 You’ll Be Back (3-1) was the favorite in her dirt sprint bow at CD June 21 and she stalked from the inside post and finished an even 4th of 10. Winner Eclatant clicked right back Oct. 4 and recently finished third in the G2 Golden Rod, and runner-up La Cara graduated Aug. 11 and won the G3 Pocahontas Sept. 14. This $575k Practical Joke filly added lasix and rallied to graduate as the favorite at FG Nov. 30. She drilled a FG bullet for this Dec. 11 and Christian Torres is 2-for-5 with Tom Amoss recently. She has stamina influences on the dam side (Empire Maker dam sire).
#4 Glee (5-2) is 3-for-6 for Steve Asmussen and she romped in two stakes races at RP under Sunday’s rider Stewart Elliott. The Honor A. P. filly handled this distance in a facile victory at 20 cents on the dollar Dec. 13.
#6 Jenkin (7-2) stretched out after two sprints and earned her diploma by 3 lengths at 15-1 odds at this course/distance Dec. 6. She has tactical speed and can compete for the win if she runs a bit faster.
#5 Kinzie Queen (10-1) improved her speed ratings in all five starts. She stalked and scored as the favorite in a Mcl-50k affair at this distance at CD Nov. 17 and Greg Compton claimed her that day. She exits a show finish in a starter allowance dirt sprint Nov. 28, and she stretches out and projects a stalking trip under solid local rider Ramon Vazquez.
