Check out my Wednesday (1-15-25) Gulfstream Park Race 8 analysis below.
GP 8 (OC-20k/1x, Florida-bred 4&up, 7f dirt) – Post Time 4:04 PM ET
Primary – #7 RAGING FURY, #1 Beastly Speed
Secondary – #2 Roar Ready, #6 Belts n’ Brooks, #3 Improptude
Horse Comments:
#7 Raging Fury (3-1) stalked slow fractions and missed the show by a head in an even effort at one mile Dec. 13. He ran well in his last two local starts at seven panels including an 8-length victory Oct. 27. He can stalk the pace while out in the clear under his new rider Tyler Gaffalione.
#1 Beastly Speed (5-2) set the pace and held the place in a similar local flat mile affair Dec. 13. He cuts back a furlong in his second start after a short layoff and he should impact the pace from the inside post.
#2 Roar Ready (10-1) is 1-for-12 with seven minor placings at Gulfstream Park. His trainer Ruben Sierra shows a profit with his sprint starters.
#6 Belts ’n Brooks (6-1) is a consistent gelding with five local wins. He finished in the top three in seven of his last eight starts.
#3 Improptude (9-2) makes his first start in more than seven months. He was part of the trifecta in his last six local dirt sprint attempts. He reconnects with his winning rider Joe Bravo and this pilot is 0-for-11 with Antonio Sano recently.
