#2 Ridegold (7-5) was 5-2 in her local 5.5f bow Jan. 16 and she finished a close 2nd. Juan Hernandez rides back and she probably wins this as the favorite if she runs a similar race.
#9 Stubborn (4-1) is a Volatile first timer and Flavien Prat is 6-for-15 with Michael McCarthy. She worked from the gate on Jan. 25 and Feb. 1.
#5 Miss McKinzie (5-1) was 5-1 in her local 5f sprint bow (June 2024) and she ended up an okay 3rd of 8. Ruben Alvarado has good stats with this type of layoff runner and she adds lasix. Antonio Fresu is her new rider.
#4 Darlin Tami (6-1) is a second timer for Jeff Bonde. She was a solid 3rd of 12 in her 5.5f bow Jan. 16. She fired a half-mile bullet for this Jan. 29 and apprentice Welfin Orantes stays put.
