On the turf course, a front running favorite graduated in the flat mile opener, stalking favorite Queen Maxima won the Wishing Well Stakes at 6f, a closing favorite won at one mile, a 5-1 closer graduated at one mile, a 9-1 stalker won down the hill, and a 38-1 front runner won the flat mile finale.

Wishing Well (6T): Ma Rae’s Girl set the pace as the longest shot on the board at 39-1 odds. Strong favorite Queen Maxima ($2.60) chased from the outside post, forged to the front and won easily by 3 1/2 lengths. Ma Rae’s Girl was clearly second best and Laulne (FR) edged Stay and Scam by a neck for the show. Miss Roberts (GB) and Arctic Breeze trailed. Juan Hernandez rode the winner for Jeff Mullins. Fractions: 22.22, 44.73, 56.26, 1;07.81.
The $2 Pick 6 pool was $96,686 and no tickets had six winners. The 5 out of 6 consolation prize was $524.60. There will be a Pick 6 carryover of $51,650 when live racing resumes on Sunday.
