Horse Comments:
#4 Analog Jones (5-1) added blinkers, stretched out, set the pace, and aired by 10 lengths in his local maiden win last fall. He misfired in his next two starts in November (CD) and December (LRL – slop). He returned to PRX Feb. 5, battled on the pace, and ended up 1 1/2 lengths behind Harrigan and he was 7 1/4 lengths in front of the show finisher. He should make his presence felt from the outset.
#8 Happily Delusional (6-1) is getting faster. He rallied from off the pace to finish a clear second as the beaten favorite in a local flat mile special weight affair on Jan. 7, and came through as the chalk in a sharp 4-length victory at a mile and 70 yards Jan. 28 (first lasix). The runner-up from his last, Late Nite Call, returned to break his maiden by 3 1/4 lengths at this course/distance Feb. 21. This one fired a half-mile bullet Feb. 20 and will try to get involved from off the pace in his third start after a layoff.
#1 Baby Dukes (8-1) caught the slop and misfired in the Future Stars at seven panels when last seen Dec. 30. Prior to that, he landed the show in back-to-back stakes starts. The new gelding removes blinkers and figures to impact the pace from the inside post.
#6 Harrigan (3-1) caught the slop in his local sprint debut late last year and he rallied to graduate by 5 1/4 lengths. He stretched out, added lasix, and stalked from the inside post and won by a length and a half Feb. 5. He earned a slightly better number second time out and drilled a 5f bullet for this Feb. 21.
