Horse Comments:
#4 Speightster Red (4-1) was part of the trifecta in his last five starts. He exits a $7.5k local dirt route win and his new trainer Mike Pino excels first after the claim. He likes this course and distance and his winning rider Paco Lopez stays put.
#6 Mega Charlie (9-2) failed to make the lead and was beaten a dozen lengths as a 54-1 longshot Feb. 25. He is most effective when he shakes loose early and he might be able to set the pace in this event.
#7 Lucky Dude (5-2) hit the board in his last two local routes under Kendrick Carmouche at the $15k level. He can stalk or close and seems realistically spotted.
#1 Helium (2-1) has not won a race since August 2023. He has dropped ten straight and dives to the $10k level after finishing up the track in his last two $16k starts.
