Check out my Tuesday (3-11-25) Parx Racing Race 8 analysis below.
PRX 8 (OC-75k/1k, 3-year-olds, 6f dirt) – Post Time 3:53 PM ET
Primary – #3 HUGGY, #1 Cojelo Pa Ti
Secondary – #6 Hawkstone, #5 Alchemism
Horse Comments:
#3 Huggy (3-1) earned the best last-race number in a romping wire-to-wire win from the inside post in his debut at this course and distance. He was 5-1 in that Mcl-40k affair and he might go all the way again in a race without much front running speed.
#1 Cojelo Pa Ti (4-1) wired the field as the even money favorite in a local sprint Jan. 8 and the clear runner-up was a next-out winner. Mike Pino claimed him for $15k and he clicked right back for his new connections in a local $30k extended sprint Feb. 10. He drilled a local bullet for this March 1 and he should be forwardly placed from the inside post.
#6 Hawkstone (7-2) was unplaced in his last two starts in the Spectacular Bid Stakes at Laurel and in an optional-claiming sprint at Aqueduct. He stalked and scored by 4 lengths from an outer post under Tuesday’s rider Julio Hernandez at this distance at Penn National in December. An outside stalking trip is expected.
#5 Alchemism (5-1) turns back and might rebound at playable odds. He fired trifecta shots in all four dirt sprint attempts.
