Horse Comments:
#1 No Poking Around (3-1) added lasix and set the pace and held on by a nose at this course/distance Jan. 19, and stalked the pace and landed the place in a similar local 8T affair Feb. 28. Umberto Rispoli got to know him last time and he is capable of making the lead or stalking the pace from the inside post.
#4 Got Soul (2-1) stretched out and wired the field at 18-1 odds in a local state bred MSW affair at 8T Feb. 17 and runner-up Sabertooth was a next-out winner. Andy Mathis shows a profit with his turf starters and with his grads trying winners for the first time. Armando Ayuso rides back and he is 2-for-2 with this barn, and he should make his presence felt from the outset.
#3 Check’s On the Way(6-1) dropped into a state bred Mcl-50k sprint and graduated at SA Jan. 18. He stretched back out, chased, led, and missed the place by a nose at 8T Feb. 15. He turned back and stalked and scored at 6T March 7. He is back in a route and should be forwardly placed under his new rider Kazushi Kimura.
#5 It’s a Factor (30-1) ran well in his last two turf starts. He set the pace and finished a nose in front of Check’s On the Way at 8T Feb. 15, and turned back and rallied for the show behind that same rival at 6T March 7.
