#6 C W Prize (2-1) was part of the exacta in his last seven starts and he won four of those races. He likes this course and distance and exits a sharp local win in a state bred stakes race. Richard Eramia knows him well, Joe Offolter has good stats with his non-graded stakes starters, and an outside early-pressing trip is expected.
#3 Blue Light (9-5) is 9-for-19 overall and he won his last four dirt sprints under Rene Diaz. The sharp Texas shipper cuts back a furlong in his third start after a layoff, and he has struck three times at this distance.
#2 Order of Merit (3-1) might be the one to catch. He returned from a layoff and beat C W Prize by a length and a half in a local allowance race in the slop March 4. Rene Diaz rode him last time and that pilot is on morning line favorite Blue Light in this contest.
