Check out my Saturday (4-26-25) Churchill Race 9 analysis below.
CD 9 (Roxelana, 6f) – Post Time 9:40 PM ET
Primary – #8 MINK’S PALACE, #2 Sandy Bottom
Secondary – #6 Harbor Springs, #1 Non Violence
Horse Comments:
#8 Mink’s Palace (4-1) makes her first start since December and she is 3-for-5 with a pair of minor awards at CD. The versatile mare reconnects with her winning rider Luis Saez and he is 3-for-10 with Eddie Kenneally.
#2 Sandy Bottom (5-2) wired the field in her first three sprints, and made the lead and weakened to 7th of 8 in the G1 La Brea at 7f in December. She shipped to OP and dueled and was best of the rest in third in the Carousel Feb. 23.
#6 Harbor Springs (3-1) ended 2024 with a local allowance sprint win and started her current campaign with an OC-50k/2x dirt sprint as the even money favorite at FG Feb. 22 (runner-up next-out winner). She reunites with Irad Ortiz, Jr. and drilled a local bullet for this April 19.
#1 Non Violence (9-2) exits a romping flat mile stakes win at Evangeline. She won a local allowance dirt sprint in 2023 and will probably chase the pace from the inside post.
